Supporting Cards: Patterns of change

Share ideas and inspiration through stories

Players: 2 to 8 | Duration: 15 – 60 minutes | Level: 1 (out of 5)|

Steps
1. Place all the cards on a large surface facing up.
2. Select a subject that you would like to discuss and explore. E.g. are you looking for a solution? or is it about personal development?
3. Determine which player becomes the storyteller.
4. The storyteller makes a selection of cards and uses these cards to generate a story that he/she likes to share with other players. First the storyteller presents the selected cards in such a manner that a storyboard evolves.
5. The storyteller tells the story based upon the storyboard presented.
6. Other players ask the storyteller questions about the story told.
7. Repeat step 3,4,5,6 until each player has shared their story.

Create evolving stories

Players: 2 to 8 | Duration: 15 – 60 minutes | Level: 1 (out of 5) |

Steps
1. Place all the cards on a large surface facing up.
2. Select a subject that you would like to discuss and explore. E.g. are you looking for a solution? or is it about  the development of your business
3. Determine which player becomes the first storyteller.
4. The storyteller makes a small selection of cards (e.g. three) and uses these cards to generate a short story that he/she likes to share with other players. First the storyteller presents the selected cards in such a manner that a storyboard evolves.
5. The storyteller tells the story based upon the storyboard presented.
6. On turns, the next player becomes the next storyteller. The storyteller adds one card so the story evolves. To select a card you can:
– take a card that is still available (you are free to pick one).
or:
– you mix the remaining cards and stock pile them. You then must take the card that’s on top of the stock pile (it will ask a lot of creativity to keep the dots connected, but it will result in a lot of fun too!).

7. The story is finished when all players have made a contribution to the story by adding a card. When a story is so interesting you might consider to allow every player to make another contribution.
