Chapter 3

p137 – Nuclear fusion

It’s clean, releases no CO2, and it’s safe, producing no radioactive waste.
Correction: It’s clean, releases no CO2, and it’s safe, producing no highly radioactive waste.

In addition: Nuclear fusion is the opposite of nuclear fission (where a larger nucleus is split into smaller nuclei). Nuclear fusion produces low level radioactive waste, even more waste then fission, but because it is low level radioactive waste it can be safely handled with basic precautions.
